Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME has officially surpassed 850,000 pre-registrations, as announced by Akatsuki Games, TOHO, and Production I.G. To celebrate this major milestone, all players will receive 10 Gacha Tickets and a ★4 “[Blade Specialist] Soshiro Hoshina” character as a special reward.
Alongside the announcement, a brand-new group visual and a new trailer have been unveiled. Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME is set to launch on iOS and Android devices on August 31, with full language support in English, French, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.

Based on Naoya Matsumoto’s acclaimed manga Kaiju No. 8, originally serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+, the series has now exceeded 18 million copies in circulation in Japan, including digital editions, across 15 volumes. Kaiju No. 8 season 2 is now streaming on Crunchyroll.
Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME – STORY:
Mysterious gates known as the Kaiju Dimensional Gates have suddenly appeared due to the actions of a certain Kaiju. In this new Kaiju No. 8 world, where Kaiju with unknown powers appear not only in Japan but across the globe, Identified Kaiju that were once thought to be defeated now confront the Defense Force by passing through these Kaiju Dimensional Gates.
On top of that, unknown Kaiju possessing special abilities—and seemingly responsible for the creation of these Kaiju Dimensional Gates—continue to cross over the boundary between dimensions to launch their attacks. Their appearance has led to a series of battles against colossal Kaiju.
