Kagurabachi & Girl meets Rock! Releases Special Collaboration Illustrations!

The first place winners of the Next Manga Awards 2024!

Kagurabachi and Girl Meets Rock!, the first-place winners in the Print Manga and Web Manga categories of the 2024 Next Manga Awards, recently celebrated their victories with two special collaboration illustrations.

The illustration showing the main characters with their primary equipment swapped was posted by Girl meets Rock! artist Tetsuo Ideuchi, while the image of Girl meets Rock!’s Chihiro playing her guitar in front of the other Chihiro was shared by the Kagurabachi X (formerly Twitter) account.

Kagurabachi by author Takeru Hokazono, who won the 100th Tezuka Prize in 2020 for his author profile “Hoten”. MANGA plus publishes the manga in English and describes it as follows:

Young Chihiro spends his days training under his famous swordsmith father. One day he hopes to become a great sword-maker himself. The goofy father and the serious son–they thought these days would last forever. But suddenly, tragedy strikes. A dark day soaked in blood. Chihiro and his blade now live only for revenge. Epic sword battle action!

The manga Girl Meets Rock! is currently serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website. Although it was previously available in English on MANGA Plus, it has since been removed from the platform.
