Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress Anime Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Special Project

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress in April 2026, the “Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress 10th Anniversary Project” has officially begun.

10th Anniversary Visual:

Under the theme “Ten Years of Iron Castle“, the project will kick off with the first-ever terrestrial TV broadcast of Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: The Battle of Unato. The film will air on Fuji TV (Kanto local broadcast) at 24:45 on March 6.

Starting April 4, a special 10th anniversary campaign will also take place at Noitamina Shop & Cafe Theater. The event will feature merchandise using newly drawn illustrations, limited-edition collaboration menu items, and special re-screenings selected through fan voting.

Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress is an original anime series depicting humanity’s desperate struggle against the immortal monsters known as Kabane. The animation was produced by WIT STUDIO and originally aired in 2016 in the Noitamina programming block.

At a time when the industrial revolution was carrying the world into the modern age, a horde of undead monsters suddenly appeared. They could not be killed unless their hearts, which were protected by a layer of iron, were pierced. These undead, which would later be known as “Kabane,” exploded in population until they finally overran the world. The people of Hinomoto, built fortresses known as “stations” that have allowed them to survive the threat of the Kabane. Ikoma is a young steamsmith living at Aragane Station, working on developing a unique anti-Kabane weapon called a “piercing gun”.
