Junji Ito Crimson TV Anime Officially Announced

The announcement was made during Japan Expo 2025 in Paris.

A new installment in the Junji Ito anime series has been officially announced. Titled “Junji Ito’s Crimson”, this third volume will adapt a carefully selected collection of the legendary horror artist’s short stories, all centered around the theme of “monsters”. Crunchyroll will stream the anime.

Junji Ito‘s manga has inspired several anime adaptations, including Junji Ito Collection (2018), Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre (2023), and Uzumaki (2024). Junji Ito Collection is currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll, which describes the anime as:

The works of one of the most famous Japanese horror manga artists, Junji Ito, finally gets animated! This will be an omnibus animation where each episode will star different protagonists such as the famous Tomie, Soichi, and Fuchi!
