On August 31 at 8:30 PM JST, JUJUTSU KAISEN celebrated its fifth anniversary with a special livestream event, bringing together the voices of the main trio: Junya Enoki (Yuji Itadori), Yuma Uchida (Megumi Fushiguro), and Asami Seto (Nobara Kugisaki). Fans from around the world tuned in to hear reflections on the series’ journey so far, as well as long-awaited announcements about the franchise’s future.
Five Major Announcements Revealed
The highlight of the program came with five major announcements:
- Culling Game Sequel Update – The next installment of the anime, adapting the highly anticipated Culling Game arc, is set to premiere in January 2026 with Part 1. An official trailer has already been released.
- JUJUTSU KAISEN: Execution -Shibuya Incident x The Culling Game Begins- –JUJUTSU KAISEN brings back the epic “Shibuya Incident” in theaters, plus a world premiere of Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1 (Episodes 1–2) before the January 2026 release.
- JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 2 Exhibition – The JUJUTSU KAISEN anime exhibition runs at Ikebukuro’s Sunshine City from December 5–29, featuring the Hidden Inventory and Shibuya Incident arcs before touring Japan.
- JUJUTSU KAISEN Phantom Parade – JUJUTSU KAISEN Phantom Parade unveils its next story, the Cursed Prison Island arc. Hiroshi Seko will oversee the scenario, with an opening video by MAPPA coming on September 23.
- JUJUFES – JUJU FES 26 will mark the anime’s 5th anniversary, taking place in early Fall 2026.

The new season begins broadcasting January 2026. In “The Culling Game,” Yuta Okkotsu, the special grade jujutsu sorcerer and protagonist of “JUJUTSU KAISEN 0,” enters the fray as an executioner, turning his blade toward Itadori. “The Cursed Two,” bound by a shared mentor, ignite one of the most iconic and ferocious battles from the original manga, soon to be brought vividly to life on screen. This marks the first encounter between the two protagonists, leading to an epic clash of cursed energies.

JUJUTSU KAISEN series quickly won the hearts of audiences with its blend of the supernatural and intense action. Originally premiering on October 3, 2020, the series will celebrate its milestone 5th anniversary on October 3 this year.

The first season of the JUJUTSU KAISEN TV anime aired from October 2020 to March 2021. Following the release of the first film, JUJUTSU KAISEN 0, on December 24, 2021, the second season covering the “Hidden Inventory / Premature Death” arc aired from July to December 2023. On May 30, a compilation film of the “Hidden Inventory / Premature Death” arc premiered. From October 17th in Japan, a revival screening of “JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 Movie” will be released.
