Jiisan Baasan Wakagaeru Presents Main Cast and Main Visual!

Grandpa and Grandma are ready!

Kadokawa announced main cast and main visual, for the anime adaptation of Kagiri Araido‘s manga Jiisan Baasan Wakagaeru (Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again), who will premiere in April 2024. The manga follows an elderly couple in Aomori who suddenly find themselves rejuvenated to their 20s, disrupting their quiet life of apple harvesting.

Main Visual:

The series features a cast reprising their roles from earlier voice comics adaptations. The new key visual introduces also the main cast: Shozo by Shin-ichiro Miki, Ine by Mamiko Noto, Mino by Shiori Mikami, and Shiori by Nao Toyama.


Synopsis of Jiisan Baasan Wakagaeru:
Shouzou and Ine Saitou have been happily married for as long as they can remember. Even in their old age with wrinkles and cracking limbs, the strength of this love is evident by their precious bond. And then, randomly one day, they wake up to find they are young again! Despite their newfound youthful and attractive bodies, Shouzou and Ine remain the same as ever. Jiisan Baasan Wakagaeru follows the young old couple as they go about their daily lives, spend time with family, and defy the expectations of the youngsters.
