The original Jack-of-All-Trades, Party of None light novel series first appeared on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in February 2021. It later got a print version published by Kodansha under the Kodansha Ranobe Books label. So far, nine volumes have been released in Japan.
Crunchyroll describes the series as follows:
The story follows Orhun Dura, an adventurer who is expelled from the Hero’s adventuring party by Oliver, his childhood friend and leader of the group. Oliver mocks Orhun for lacking skill and being a “jack-of-all-trades, master of none,” even though Orhun switched from being a Swordsman to an Enchanter for the sake of supporting the party. Dejected and directionless, Orhun leaves to prove himself as a solo adventurer, striving to become the strongest “jack-of-all-trades” in order to protect his friends and stand against injustice.
