The TV anime adaptation of Tomato Soup’s manga Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia is scheduled to air starting in July 2026. Alongside the announcement, a teaser promotional video and a teaser visual have been released. Key staff details were also revealed, including the confirmation that Naoko Yamada will serve as executive director on the project.

The original work won first place in the 2023 Manga Taisho Award (Female Edition). It is currently being serialized on Akita Shoten’s web manga platform, Souffle.
STORY:
There was once a young girl in the 13th century slave markets of Iran. This is the tale of a witch who toyed with a vast continent. Taken in by a family of scholars, the power of “knowledge” is imparted on her within the calm of her new life.
