HYPNOSISMIC -Division Rap Battle- ‘Interactive’ Anime Film Announced for February 2025!

The ‘interactive’ movie of HYPNOSISMIC -Division Rap Battle- is set for a nationwide release in Japan on February 21, 2025. Alongside this announcement, a poster visual and a special teaser video were also revealed.

The announcement trailer presents this feature as the country’s inaugural “interactive movie” for theaters, allowing the audience to influence the outcome of rap battles in real time via a smartphone app.

The first season of the anime, directed by Katsumi Ono and produced by A-1 Pictures, premiered in October 2020 and was simulcast on Funimation. Crunchyroll streams both this series and its 2023 sequel, providing the following story description:

Legendary rap group The Dirty Dawg could have taken Japan by storm, but then they broke up. Now each member fights in one of the four rival groups. Battles for turf are fought with rap and the Hypnosis Mic, a microphone that can affect the human spirit.
