The sequel to Honoo no Toukyuuji: Dodge Danpei, titled Honoo no Toukyuujo: Dodge Danko, is officially getting a TV anime adaptation set to premiere in 2026. The announcement was made alongside a new teaser visual and an announcement video.

The original Hono no Tokyuji: Dodge Danpei was a manga series that ran in Shogakukan’s CoroCoro Comic magazine from 1989 to 1995. It was later adapted into a 47-episode anime series, which aired starting in October 1991. The franchise also inspired several video games.
A sequel manga, titled Dodge Danpei: Dodge Danko, has been published online on the Weekly CoroCoro Comic website since November 2022.
