Hiroshi Fujioka Brings Back Takeshi Hongo in Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider Anime

Based on the tokusatsu-themed seinen manga.

In the premiere episode of the upcoming TV anime Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider, Hiroshi Fujioka will reprise his iconic role as Takeshi Hongo.

The series is directed by Takahiro Ikezoe at LIDENFILMS and will debut on October 4, 2025, airing every Saturday in Japan. Crunchyroll has confirmed it will simulcast the show alongside its Japanese broadcast.

Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider follows the story of Tojima Tanzaburo, a man in his 40s who has long dreamed of becoming a Kamen Rider. Just as he’s about to give up on his aspiration, he becomes caught up in a “fake shocker” robbery that grabs the public’s attention.
