The TV anime adaptation of Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube, created by Shou Makura and Takeshi Okano, is set to premiere in July 2025. Earlier today, during a special livestream from Tokyo, a new key visual was unveiled alongside the first full trailer, additional cast members, and staff details.
In this trailer, we see students seeking Nube’s help, a mysterious young man, and Tamamo, who appears to know Nube. There’s also Yukime, a girl who claims to be his fiancée. Finally, Nube unleashes the power of his Demon’s Hand to confront the evil force.

The latest key visual showcases the protagonist, Nube, with a resolute expression as he shields his students. Set in Domori Elementary School, he firmly grasps the scripture in his right hand while unveiling the sealed Demon’s Hand in his left.

Story by Shou Makura and art by Takeshi Okano, Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube was originally serialized in SHUEISHA’s manga magazine “Weekly Shonen Jump” from 1993 to 1999. The Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube manga has sold over a total of 29 million copies, achieving status as a legendary occult comic in Japan. While the manga’s story, based on classic ghost stories and urban legends, has delighted readers for years, the moving courage of the psychic teacher “Nube,” who protects his students from these occult threats, is what has sustained the series’ popularity for generations. As such, it was determined that it was time for Nube to return in an all-new anime adaptation, airing summer 2025!
STORY:
A number of inexplicable phenomena have been plaguing the town of Domori. In order to protect the town’s children, a new homeroom teacher known as “Nube” arrives. Normally gentle and a bit outgoing, Nube has a secret side: he is, in fact, the only psychic teacher in Japan. Rumor also has it his left hand is possessed by a demon! Hell’s messenger of justice is here to take on the school’s seven mysteries, ghosts, and evil spirits attacking his students. This occultist action story starts now!
