Hajime no Ippo is stepping out of the ring of manga and anime and into real life with an official live boxing event. Dynamite Glove 2025 will take place on November 18, 2025, at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, a venue well known to fans of the series.
The event will feature seven live pro boxing matches and a special Hajime no Ippo manga art exhibition, which will include rare illustrations and anime-inspired visuals. Fans can also look forward to a live talk session and a rare public appearance by Hajime no Ippo’s creator, Joji Morikawa.

The event will welcome 1,500 fans, and international visitors can join the waitlist now. Early access ticket sales for overseas fans will begin in late July, with general sales opening in early August for both Japanese and international audiences.

First published in 1989, Hajime no Ippo has become one of Japan’s most legendary boxing series, collecting over 1,400 chapters across 143 volumes. In 2023, it passed the milestone of 100 million copies in print, securing its place among manga classics.
The series has been adapted into three anime: the original Hajime no Ippo in 2000, followed by Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger in 2009, and Hajime no Ippo: Rising in 2013. Discotek Media previously released the original anime on Blu-ray in North America, but the set is now out of print.
Dynamite Glove 2025 offers fans a unique chance to experience the energy of Hajime no Ippo in the real world, combining live boxing with the passion of manga and anime.
