HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle Movie Releases a “Big Hit” Trailer! 

HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle movie exceeded 5.1 billion yen in 16 days!

HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle opened in theaters on February 16, and in its 16 days of release through March 3, it has drawn 3.59 million viewers and earned over 5.1 billion yen at the box office.

A brand new “big hit” trailer focuses on the members of Nekoma High School, including Kenma Kozume and Tetsuro Kuroo, and captures their encounter with volleyball.

The movie will also be screened with English subtitles at nine theaters on March 15 in Japan:

Toho animation returns to produce the two Haikyu!! FINAL anime films with the animation continuing to be made by the team at Production I.G. Haikyu!! FINAL anime film’s first of two parts, is subtitled “Gomisuteba no Kessen” (The Dumpster Battle). Crunchyroll is streaming all four TV anime seasons of the Haikyu!! adaptation and describes the series as follows:

Based off of the original Weekly Shonen Jump manga series from Haruichi Furudate, Haikyu!! is a slice-of-life sports anime revolving around Shoyo Hinata’s love of volleyball. Inspired by a small-statured pro volleyball player, Hinata creates a volleyball team in his last year of middle school. Unfortunately the team is matched up against the “King of the Court” Tobio Kageyama’s team in their first tournament and inevitably lose. After the crushing defeat, Hinata vows to surpass Kageyama After entering high school, Hinata joins the volleyball team only to find that Tobio has also joined.
