HAIKYU!! Releases Recap Video of the First Season Featuring OP Theme Songs!

As part of the “10th Anniversary -Connecting- Project” for Haruichi Furudate‘s anime “HAIKYU!!“, a special digest video project has been launched to celebrate the anime’s 10th anniversary. To kick off the project, a recap video of the first season was released today, August 19, on “HAIKYU!! Day“.

The first season’s recap video covers the journey from Shoyo Hinata’s first encounter with Tobio Kageyama to their intense battle against Aoba Josai High School at Inter-High School.

The first cour’s opening theme, “Imagination” by SPYAIR, and the second cour’s opening theme, “Ah Yeah!!” by SUKIMASWITCH, are highlighted.

TOHO animation returns to produce the two Haikyu!! FINAL anime films with the animation continuing to be made by the team at Production I.G. Haikyu!! FINAL anime film’s first of two parts, is subtitled “Gomisuteba no Kessen” (The Dumpster Battle).

Shoyo Hinata joins Karasuno High’s volleyball club to be like his idol, a former Karasuno player known as the “Little Giant.” But, Hinata soon finds that he must team up with his middle school nemesis, Tobio Kageyama. Their clashing styles turn into a surprising weapon, but can they beat their rival Nekoma High in the highly anticipated “Dumpster Battle,” the long awaited ultimate showdown between two opposing underdog teams?

Crunchyroll is streaming all four TV anime seasons of the Haikyu!! adaptation and describes the series as follows:

Based off of the original Weekly Shonen Jump manga series from Haruichi Furudate, Haikyu!! is a slice-of-life sports anime revolving around Shoyo Hinata’s love of volleyball. Inspired by a small-statured pro volleyball player, Hinata creates a volleyball team in his last year of middle school. Unfortunately the team is matched up against the “King of the Court” Tobio Kageyama’s team in their first tournament and inevitably lose. After the crushing defeat, Hinata vows to surpass Kageyama After entering high school, Hinata joins the volleyball team only to find that Tobio has also joined.
