HAIKYU!! Anime 10th Anniversary -Connecting- Project Announced!

The “HAIKYU!!” anime, created by Haruichi Furudate, will celebrate its 10th anniversary of broadcasting on April 6. To mark this milestone, the “HAIKYU!! Anime 10th Anniversary -Connecting- Project” has been launched. The project unveiled its first commemorative visual and the 10th-anniversary exhibition.

The theme of the anniversary project is “connecting”. The first “school visual” that draws down the characters of the main schools has been unveiled. The visuals feature Hinata and Kageyama from Karasuno High School, and Kenma and Kuroo from Nekoma High School. Each play is visually “connected”.

The “HAIKYU!! Anime 10th Anniversary Exhibition Zen kankaku EXHIBITION” will also be held from July. You don’t just have to look at the exhibitions, but you can also see the immersive hands-on exhibits that make you feel like you’re “HAIKYU!!“. At TOHO animation STORE, pre-orders for commemorative goods will start on April 6 in Japan. The lineup includes uniforms, jerseys, banners, towels, and more. Commemorative items will be added in the future. And in 2025, it has been decided to hold a “finale event” to mark the 10th and final anniversary.

HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle opened in cinemas on February 16 and, by March 17, had attracted 4.91 million viewers and grossed over 7 billion yen at the box office.

Toho animation returns to produce the two Haikyu!! FINAL anime films with the animation continuing to be made by the team at Production I.G. Haikyu!! FINAL anime film’s first of two parts, is subtitled “Gomisuteba no Kessen” (The Dumpster Battle). Crunchyroll is streaming all four TV anime seasons of the Haikyu!! adaptation and describes the series as follows:

Based off of the original Weekly Shonen Jump manga series from Haruichi Furudate, Haikyu!! is a slice-of-life sports anime revolving around Shoyo Hinata’s love of volleyball. Inspired by a small-statured pro volleyball player, Hinata creates a volleyball team in his last year of middle school. Unfortunately the team is matched up against the “King of the Court” Tobio Kageyama’s team in their first tournament and inevitably lose. After the crushing defeat, Hinata vows to surpass Kageyama After entering high school, Hinata joins the volleyball team only to find that Tobio has also joined.
