The broadcast of Haigakura anime, based on Shinobu Takayama’s original story, is set to begin this fall 2024. In addition, a second teaser visual has been released.

The anime adaptation draws its inspiration from Shinobu Takayama’s manga series, initially serialized in Ichijinsha’s Comic Zero Sum WARD magazine from January 16, 2008, to May 16, 2015. Later, it continued its serialization on Zero-Sum Online starting September 18, 2015. By August 2023, the manga comprised sixteen tankoubon volumes.
In the Immortal Realm, where both Immortals and humans reside, the story centers on Ichiyou, a poet seeking the malevolent god, who threatens the realm’s collapse. Alongside Ichiyou is a middle-level god with forgotten memories, engaging in a battle against formidable odds.
