On Thanksgiving Day, Goku makes a triumphant return to the Big Apple, but this time in a brand-new form. Earth’s greatest warrior from the globally renowned anime Dragon Ball will soar through the skies in his iconic Saiyan form at the 98th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
On November 28, 2024, Goku will debut as a brand-new character balloon, greeting millions of thrilled spectators with a vibrant smile and salute, all in celebration of Dragon Ball‘s 40th anniversary.

At an impressive 70.5 feet in length, 33 feet in width, and 41.5 feet in height, the new Goku balloon will be impossible to miss during its debut flight from Central Park West to Herald Square, where Macy’s iconic flagship store resides. Guided by expert balloon handlers, Goku will soar along the parade route.

Akira Toriyama‘s “Dragon Ball” manga, launched in 1984 in Shueisha’s “Weekly Shonen Jump,” sparked a global phenomenon. Adapted by Toei Animation, the franchise has become a pop culture staple with a multi-generational fan base. The new anime “Dragon Ball DAIMA” joins six series, including “Dragon Ball,” “Dragon Ball Z,” “GT,” “Z Kai,” and “Super,” alongside 21 films, numerous games, and a vast range of merchandise and entertainment offerings.
