Toei Animation has announced that their original TV anime series, GIRLS BAND CRY, will be available for streaming in North America starting August 13, 2024. Viewers will be able to watch the series on Fandango at Home, Microsoft, Amazon Prime Video, and Hoopla.
The series originally aired in Japan from April to June 2024 and consists of 13 episodes.

The anime is directed by Kazuo Sakai at Toei Animation, Jukki Hanada handles series composition, nari Terashima is responsible for character designs, Jae Hoon Jung oversees CG direction, and Kenji Tamai is in charge of music production, with Yusuke Tanaka providing the accompanying music.
Synopsis, according to the official website:
The main character drops out of high school in her second year, and aims at entering a university while working alone in Tokyo.
A girl is betrayed by her friends and doesn’t know what to do.
Another girl is abandoned by her parents, and tries to survive in the city by doing part-time jobs.
This world lets us down all the time.
Nothing goes as planned.
But we want something that we can continue to like.
We believe there’s a place where we belong. That’s why we sing.
