The release date for GINTAMA -Yoshiwara in Flames-, a new film by Hideaki Sorachi, has been officially set for February 13, 2026. Directed by Naoya Ando and produced by BN Pictures, the movie offers a brand-new adaptation of the manga’s iconic “Yoshiwara in Flames” arc.

The upcoming film project will revisit the manga’s “Yoshiwara in Flames” arc, which was previously adapted into eight episodes of the TV anime back in 2009.
The anime series concluded in 2018 after four seasons. In addition to the main series, several films were released, including Gintama: The Final in 2021, as well as a wave of Gintama on Theater 2D features cinematic re-edits of story arcs previously adapted for television.
