FIST OF THE NORTH STAR: HOKUTO NO KEN Anime Reveals New Cast, Trailer and Opening Theme Details

New cast members, the second promotional video, opening theme details, and broadcast/distribution information have been revealed for the anime “FIST OF THE NORTH STAR: HOKUTO NO KEN”, based on the work of Buronson and Tetsuo Hara.

The anime will begin broadcasting on Tokyo MX and BS11 on April 10 at 25:00 (1:00 a.m. on April 11). It will also stream exclusively on Prime Video.

Episodes 1 and 2 will air and stream consecutively on April 10, while episodes 3 and 4 will follow with another back-to-back broadcast and release on April 17.

The opening theme has been announced as “Hallelujah” performed by Alexandros. Part of the song can be heard in the newly released second promotional video.

In addition, a special stage event titled “Hey You! It’s April 10th!! Anime ‘FIST OF THE NORTH STAR: HOKUTO NO KEN‘ Special Stage!!” will take place on March 28 at the WHITE STAGE during AnimeJapan 2026. Members of the main cast will appear on stage to present preview scenes from the first episode, a non-credit version of the opening video, and collaboration announcements.

The series will also be featured at CON-CON Hong Kong 2026, which will be held in Hong Kong on April 4 and 5.

FIST OF THE NORTH STAR is a post-apocalyptic action manga set in a world ravaged by nuclear war, where civilization has collapsed and violence reigns. The manga was originally serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 1983 to 1988.

STORY:
In the year 199X, the world is engulfed in a nuclear inferno! The seas have vanished. The earth lies in ruins. It seems all life has been wiped out…but humanity has not perished!

Across the scorched and broken land, survivors cling to hope, desperately searching for food and water. However, their hopes are trampled underfoot by violence. Might makes right in this world, and the weak are crushed without mercy.
