A special collaboration visual has been unveiled featuring the TV anime Fermat no Ryōri and Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant. Despite having completely different settings and storylines, the collaboration was made possible by the shared theme of “cooking anime.”
Fermat no Ryōri is set to premiere on July 5, while Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant will debut slightly earlier, on July 3.
Collaboration Visual:

Kodansha has been serializing the Fermat no Ryori manga in their Monthly Shonen Magazine since September 2018, with four collected volumes released in Japan so far.
Passionate about mathematics from an early age, Gaku Kitada was destined for a career as a mathematician. Unfortunately, his failure at the International Olympiad forced him to abandon his dream and work part-time in his academy’s canteen. His meeting with the enigmatic Kai Asakura, a culinary prodigy, opens up unexpected new horizons.
When two geniuses meet and mathematics and cooking become intertwined, the door to an unknown world opens before them.
Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant! originated as a web novel by Yuki Kimikawa, first published on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2018. The story was later adapted into a light novel series, illustrated by Gaou, under the OVERLAP Novels label, with the first volume released in 2019. As of June 2020, three volumes have been published.
The manga adaptation, illustrated by Tsumumi, is described by Kaiten Books as:
Dennis is one of the most popular members of the Silverwing Battalion, the world’s strongest party. So popular, in fact, that the party leader expels him from the group out of spite.
Stripped of his home, Dennis decides to start life anew following his true calling—as a chef! His life as an adventurer might be over, but his new life as a cook is just beginning. He teams up with Atelier, a young girl who has been similarly exiled from her home, and opens up a restaurant for adventurers.
He’s finally able to live out his dream, but he’ll need use of more than just his cooking skills to take care of his eclectic customers’ problems!
