ONE PIECE Volume 114 was released today, March 4. With this new volume, the series has officially surpassed 600 million copies in circulation worldwide.

To celebrate this milestone, a special project has been launched featuring creator Eiichiro Oda. As part of the project, Oda will record the “truth” about ONE PIECE and its main character, Monkey D. Luffy.
A commemorative project video has been released on the official YouTube channel of ONE PIECE. In the video, Oda raises the question: “What is the ONE PIECE?”
The answer is written on a single sheet of paper. On the upper half, it asks: “What is ONE PIECE and who is Monkey D. Luffy?” The lower half contains the “truth”. However, that portion is torn away and placed inside a treasure chest, which sinks to the bottom of the sea. The truth will remain hidden until the story is completed and will only be revealed at the very end.
In addition, today’s morning edition of the Asahi Shimbun and Yomiuri Shimbun publishes a full-size copy of the upper half of the paper as an advertisement.
The global character popularity poll “WT100 (World Top 100)” has officially launched today. This marks the second edition of the poll since it was first in 2021 to celebrate the 1,000th episode of ONE PIECE.
A total of 1,560 characters are eligible for voting. Fans from around the world can participate, and starting March 16, the weekly regional Top 5 rankings will be revealed every Monday at 12:00 a.m.

Voting is available through the official WT100 website, via the app ONE PIECE BASE, or by postcard. To vote by mail, a designated voting ticket is required. These tickets are included in the obi of Volume 114 of the manga, in issues of Weekly Shonen Jump sold between March 9 and June 11, and in the April issue of Saikyō Jump (both published by Shueisha).
The final results will be announced during ONE PIECE DAY ’26, scheduled to take place in August 2026.
