Detective Conan: One-Eyed Flashback Unveils IMAX & MX4D/ 4DX Visuals

The movie is set to premiere across Japan on April 18, 2024.

The upcoming theatrical release of Detective Conan: One-Eyed Flashback, written by Gosho Aoyama, will debut on April 18 with simultaneous screenings in IMAX, MX4D, 4DX, and Dolby Cinema. The film will be shown in 522 theaters across Japan, setting a new franchise record by surpassing last year’s 515 theaters.

Additionally, new key visuals and a promotional video have been unveiled alongside the announcement of large-format screenings.

Gosho Aoyama‘s Detective Conan manga, known as Case Closed in English by Viz Media, debuted in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1994. As of October 2024, the series spans 106 tankōbon volumes. The anime adaptation premiered in 1996, followed by the release of the first anime film in 1997.

The son of a world famous mystery writer, Shinichi Kudo, has achieved his own notoriety by assisting the local police as a student detective. He has always been able to solve the most difficult of criminal cases using his wits and power of reason.
