TMS Entertainment has officially announced that Detective Conan “Episode ‘ZERO’ The Shinichi Kudo Aquarium Case will be available to stream on Crunchyroll starting Saturday, January 3.
This special episode was created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Detective Conan series. With a runtime of one hour and 30 minutes, it serves as a prologue to the very first episode of the anime.

The story takes place before high school detective Shinichi Kudo is transformed into Conan Edogawa.
Gosho Aoyama‘s Detective Conan manga, known as Case Closed in English by Viz Media, debuted in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1994. As of October 2024, the series spans 106 tankōbon volumes. The anime adaptation premiered in 1996, followed by the release of the first anime film in 1997.

The son of a world famous mystery writer, Shinichi Kudo, has achieved his own notoriety by assisting the local police as a student detective. He has always been able to solve the most difficult of criminal cases using his wits and power of reason.
