Detective Conan Anime New Visual Teases “Kid VS Hakuba: The Azure Throne”

A new visual from Detective Conan by Gosho Aoyama has been released. In the visual, it reads: “‘Detective Conan Kid VS Hakuba: The Azure Throne’ coming soon”.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Detective Conan, which began airing on January 8, 1996, a one-hour special titled “Detective Conan Episode ‘ZERO’ The Shinichi Kudo Aquarium Case ” was broadcast today, January 3, 2026. The new visual was revealed at the end of the special.

Gosho Aoyama‘s Detective Conan manga, known as Case Closed in English by Viz Media, debuted in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1994. As of October 2024, the series spans 106 tankōbon volumes. The anime adaptation premiered in 1996, followed by the release of the first anime film in 1997.

The son of a world famous mystery writer, Shinichi Kudo, has achieved his own notoriety by assisting the local police as a student detective. He has always been able to solve the most difficult of criminal cases using his wits and power of reason.
