A new anime adaptation of Shotaro Ishinomori’s Cyborg 009, titled Cyborg 009: Nemesis, is scheduled for release in 2026. Alongside the announcement, a teaser promotional video and theme song details were also unveiled. The news was revealed on January 25, in celebration of Shotaro Ishinomori’s birthday.
The theme song has been confirmed as “Taga Tame ni”, written by Ishinomori himself. Originally used as the opening theme for the 1979 TV anime Cyborg 009, the song has been newly rearranged for this adaptation and will be performed by Kyoko.
