In the TV anime You and Idol Precure♪, a new Pretty Cure known as Cure Connect makes his debut, transformed by Kaito Hibiki. Appearing in episode 42, Cure Connect represents the legendary idol admired even by Cure Idol herself.
When Kaito discovers that his best friend Kazuma has become a jogi, he chooses to sing in order to restore their bond creating a true miracle in the process. The stunning transformation sequence, featuring a striking flip of a turquoise cloak, is exclusive to episode 42.
To coincide with Cure Connect’s debut, the Pretty Cure Opera Store has begun selling new merchandise featuring the character, including acrylic stands and can badges. Cure Connect also appears in the collaboration visual for the upcoming SWEETS PARADISE event starting on December 16. Additionally, details about the collaboration goods now featuring Cure Connect have been officially revealed.
The Pretty Cure franchise, also known as Precure, launched with its first series, Futari wa Pretty Cure, in February 2004. Its 21st installment, Wonderful Precure!, premiered on Crunchyroll in February 2024. The 22nd and latest entry in Toei Animation’s long-running magical girl saga, You and Idol Precure♪, debuted in Japan on February 2, 2025.
Crunchyroll describes the story of You and Idol Precure♪ as follows:
Middle school student Uta Sakura loves to sing any chance she gets. But music becomes more than a hobby when she meets Purirun, a fairy whose hometown has plunged into darkness. The Chokkiri Gang took over her land and began stealing her people’s sparkle. Determined to help, Uta is transformed into the legendary protector Cure Idol and vows to return their sparkle through song.
