The 33rd theatrical film in the Crayon Shin-chan franchise, based on the original work by Yoshito Usui, is set to be released during the summer vacation of 2026. Titled “Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Kikikaikai! Ora no Yokai Vacation“, the announcement was accompanied by the release of a super teaser visual and a special promotional video.

The film is directed by Masaki Watanabe, who has served as director of the Crayon Shin-chan TV anime since 2022 and has been in charge of storyboarding for the series since 2024. The screenplay is written by Yoshiko Nakamura, known for her work on the Crayon Shin-chan TV anime, marking her first time writing a script for a feature film in the franchise.
