The first screenings of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc by Tatsuki Fujimoto will take place at 12 theaters across 5 cities in Japan, starting at midnight on September 19.
The earliest screenings will take place at TOHO Cinemas Susukino in Hokkaido, TOHO Cinemas Hibiya in Tokyo, Midland Square Cinema in Aichi, TOHO Cinemas Umeda in Osaka, and T-Joy Hakata in Fukuoka. Tickets will be available through each theater’s official website starting at midnight on September 15.
Additionally, special screenings have been confirmed in MX4D, 4DX, and Dolby Cinema formats. Beginning October 4, MX4D screenings will be available in 12 theaters, 4DX in 62 theaters, and Dolby Cinema in 9 theaters. A special poster visual for these premium formats has also been unveiled.

On September 20th, a special stage greeting was held at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya to celebrate the release. Cast members Kikunosuke Toya (Denji), Tomori Kusunoki (Makima), Shogo Sakata (Aki Hayakawa), Reina Ueda (Reze), Yuya Uchida (the Violence Fiend), Maaya Uchida (the Angel Devil), and Karin Takahashi (Kobeni Higashiyama) appeared on stage. The stage greeting took place after the 12:15 screening and before the 15:30 screening, with the 12:15 event being broadcast live to 346 theaters nationwide.
The world premiere of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will take place on September 15 in Japan. The film will then open in theaters nationwide on September 19.
The movie will begin its global rollout in September 24, with screenings in the United States starting on October 24, 2025. Check out the list of International theatrical dates:

INTRODUCTION:
“Chainsaw Man” is a manga serialized in Shueisha’s “Shonen Jump+” that has sold over 30,000,000 copies. In 2022, the series was broadcast as a TV Anime series that was made by animation studio MAPPA (Notable works: “JUJUTSU KAISEN”, “Attack on Titan Final Season”, etc.), creating buzz all over the world. Now in 2025, the episode that made the world go wild during its serialization is coming to theaters as an animated movie!
STORY:
Denji (Kikunosuke Toya) became “Chainsaw Man”, a boy with a devil’s heart, and is now part of Special Division 4’s devil hunters. After a date with Makima (Tomori Kusunoki), the woman of his dreams, Denji takes shelter from the rain and meets a girl called Reze (Reina Ueda). The girl, who works at a nearby café, gives him a gentle smile, and they quickly grow close. From this encounter onward, Denji’s everyday life begins to change.
The first season of Chainsaw Man was a huge success, with memorable characters and a unique aesthetic. VIZ Media releases the manga in English, Crunchyroll describes the series as such:
Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.
One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man” — a man with a devil’s heart.
