The final stage greeting for Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, based on the manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, will take place on March 21 at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya in Tokyo. The event will also be broadcast live in movie theaters across Japan, and special exclusive gifts will be distributed to attendees.
The film premiered in Japan on September 19, 2025 and is still being screened in theaters. As of March 9, after 172 days in theaters, the movie has attracted 7.04 million viewers and has surpassed 10.7 billion yen at the box office.
The event, titled ‘Thank You for Exploding! Final Stage Greeting’, will feature cast members including Kikunosuke Toya (Denji), Shogo Sakata (Aki Hayakawa), Hana Takahashi (Kobeni Higashiyama), and Reina Ueda (Reze).
Attendees will receive an event-exclusive A5 visual card featuring Reze, illustrated by character designer Kazutaka Sugiyama. The artwork shows Reze smiling while holding a bouquet of flowers. One card will be given to each viewer attending the stage greeting or watching the live broadcast screening.
Tickets for the stage greeting event will be available through Ticket Pia starting March 10, while live broadcast tickets will go on sale March 18 at midnight through participating theaters.

Additionally, a special conversation between Masao Maruyama and Manabu Otsuka will be published on the official website of the anime Chainsaw Man. The discussion explores the production behind the film, including the decision to adapt the Reze arc as a movie, advice given to the directing team, and how the studio works to create an environment where creators can fully express their individuality.

INTRODUCTION:
“Chainsaw Man” is a manga serialized in Shueisha’s “Shonen Jump+” that has sold over 30,000,000 copies. In 2022, the series was broadcast as a TV Anime series that was made by animation studio MAPPA (Notable works: “JUJUTSU KAISEN”, “Attack on Titan Final Season”, etc.), creating buzz all over the world. Now in 2025, the episode that made the world go wild during its serialization is coming to theaters as an animated movie!
STORY:
Denji (Kikunosuke Toya) became “Chainsaw Man”, a boy with a devil’s heart, and is now part of Special Division 4’s devil hunters. After a date with Makima (Tomori Kusunoki), the woman of his dreams, Denji takes shelter from the rain and meets a girl called Reze (Reina Ueda). The girl, who works at a nearby café, gives him a gentle smile, and they quickly grow close. From this encounter onward, Denji’s everyday life begins to change.
The first season of Chainsaw Man was a huge success, with memorable characters and a unique aesthetic. VIZ Media releases the manga in English, Crunchyroll describes the series as such:
Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.
One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man” — a man with a devil’s heart.
