Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc Anime Officially Announced

Assassins who are targeting Denji's heart.

The production of the anime Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc, based on the original manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, has officially been announced. A teaser visual and a teaser promotional video have also been released.

Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc will serve as a direct sequel to Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, which premiered in Japan on September 19. Since its release, the film has drawn 6.31 million viewers and generated over 9.65 billion yen at the Japanese box office within 91 days, marking a major commercial success for the franchise.

INTRODUCTION:
“Chainsaw Man” is a manga serialized in Shueisha’s “Shonen Jump+” that has sold over 30,000,000 copies. In 2022, the series was broadcast as a TV Anime series that was made by animation studio MAPPA (Notable works: “JUJUTSU KAISEN”, “Attack on Titan Final Season”, etc.), creating buzz all over the world.

The first season of Chainsaw Man was a huge success, with memorable characters and a unique aesthetic. VIZ Media releases the manga in English, Crunchyroll describes the series as such:

Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita. 

One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man” — a man with a devil’s heart.
