Chained Soldier Season 2 Reveals All Unit Commanders’ Cast

The second season of Chained Soldier will officially begin on January 9, 2026, kicking off with the “Commanders’ Assembly“, a major gathering of all unit commanders from the Demon Defense Force.

Returning cast members include Maaya Uchida as Tenka Izumo (6th Unit Commander) and Akari Kito as Kyouka Uzen (7th Unit Commander). Kana Hanazawa will also appear as Ren Yamashiro, the Chief Commander and leader of the 10th Unit.

To celebrate the new season, the official website has been updated with a character page showcasing new visuals of Yuuki Wakura, the 7th Unit members, and all the commanders.

Based on the manga by Takahiro and Youhei Takemura, Chained Soldier blends thrilling battles and charming character moments as powerful heroines fight to defend humanity from the mysterious alternate dimension known as the Mato. The manga continues to be serialized biweekly on Shonen Jump+ in Japan.

The original Chained Soldier manga is written by Takahiro, illustrated by Yohei Takamura, HIDIVE describes the anime as follows:

Two supernatural forces appeared simultaneously on Earth: entrances to another dimension known as Mato, and Peaches, resources that give unique abilities to women. From the Mato come Yomotsu Shuuki, dangerous monsters that leave destruction in their wake. The government’s Anti-demon Corps stands against these creatures, employing women empowered by Peaches to face the monstrous threat. Yuuki Wakura watches these forces clash from a distance, but when he unexpectedly runs afoul of a Yomotsu Shuuki, he’s rescued by Kyouka Uzen, the chief of the Seventh Unit of the Anti-demon Corp—and she sees something in him that could turn the tide of the monster incursion. Yuki holds the unique power to make Peaches more effective, but he’ll have to become Kyoka’s willing slave to join the fight against the Yomotsu Shuuki and save the world.
