CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD Anime Marks 15 Years with Special PV by MAPPA

To celebrate its 15th anniversary, the TV anime “CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD” will be rebroadcast and distributed in a remastered version. A special 15th anniversary visual has also been unveiled, along with a promotional video produced by MAPPA.

The PV is storyboarded and directed by Hiroko Komatsu, and features Roselia’s song “XV” as its theme.

The series originally debuted on July 5, 2025, while the DivineZ Deluxe Arc aired from January 11, 2025, and was streamed on Amazon Prime Video, d Anime Store, and Niconico. The Cardfight!! Vanguard anime franchise has amassed around 582 episodes, with production set to continue until the total reaches 700 episodes.

Crunchyroll currently streams the original CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD series, as well as several other entries in the franchise, including the ongoing series CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD DivineZ. The original series is described as follows:

The main protagonist Aichi Sendou, is a timid and mundane third-year middle school boy. The thing that supported Aichi’s heart, was the “Blaster Blade” card that he received as a child. It’s an important rare card from “Vanguard”, a card game with the imaginary world of “Planet Cray” as its stage. From the day he reunited with the person who gave him that card “Toshiki Kai”, Aichi’s everyday life began to change.
