A live-action film adaptation of Tsubasa Yamaguchi‘s Blue Period has been decided. It will be released on August 9th in Japan! Kentaro Hagiwara directs the film adaptation!

Blue Period, the studious Yatora leaves a dry life of study and good manners behind for a new passion: painting. But untethering yourself from all your past expectations is dangerous as well as thrilling. Serialization began in June 2017 in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon, and the manga has been published up to 15 volumes. In addition to winning the Manga Grand Prize 2020, it was adapted into a TV anime in 2021 and a stage adaptation in 2022.
