BALLOON Project Launches New Boys’ Love ‘Light Anime’ Adaptations

Reincarnated as a brother-in-law.

The “BALLOON” project, a collaborative effort by four companies: Dai Nippon Printing, Imagica Infos, Cybird, and BLUE RIGHTS has officially launched. The initiative aims to adapt Boys’ Love works into “light anime” series. The first title in the lineup is Saioshi no Gikei wo Mederu Tame, Nagaiki Shimasu!, with production currently underway and a target broadcast date set for 2026.

“Light Anime,” developed by Dai Nippon Printing, is a business model that leverages original designs to produce anime quickly and cost-effectively. The company “BALLOON” is actively releasing new titles with the goal of producing four adaptations by 2026.

Furthermore, they aim to establish a production system capable of delivering more than 10 works annually by 2028. These projects are produced by Animation ID, a joint venture between Dai Nippon Printing and Imagica Infos.
