AKITASHOTEN has announced the 35th anniversary of the BAKI manga series, one of Japan’s most influential martial arts stories. Created by Keisuke Itagaki, BAKI began serialization in Weekly Shonen Champion in 1991 and has remained popular for over three decades.
To celebrate the anniversary, a new illustration by Keisuke Itagaki has been revealed, along with a special commemorative animation. The animation features an original theme song titled “BAKI MENTAL” by POCYOMKIN, RUDEBWOY FACE, and TAKE-M,. The anniversary theme song will be released digitally on February 4, 2026.
