The TV anime Awajima Hyakkei, written by Takako Shimura, has been announced to premiere in 2026. Alongside the announcement, the production staff, a teaser visual, and a teaser trailer have been revealed.

Takako Shimura, known for Sweet Blue Flowers and Wandering Son, began Awajima Hyakkei on Ohta’s Poko Poko platform in 2011. The series later moved to Ohta Web Comics in 2016 and concluded on March 15, 2024. The fifth and final volume was released on May 15, 2024.
Awajima Hyakkei is an omnibus-style coming-of-age drama that explores the hopes, struggles, and hidden emotions of young girls training at an opera school in pursuit of their dreams on stage.
