Japanese three-piece rock band Atarayo has released a new collaboration music video for their song “Haru to Nari”, an insert song for The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie. The music video features re-edited footage from the film to match the song’s emotional tone.
Atarayo, led by vocalist and guitarist Hitomi, began activities on YouTube in November 2020. “Haru to Nari” released digitally on February 11, is the band’s second song for The Dangers in My Heart franchise. They previously performed “Boku wa…”, the opening theme for Season 2 of the TV anime.

The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie Footage Featuring “Haru to nari”
The film opened in 119 theaters across Japan on February 13 and has earned over 200 million yen (about 1.27 million USD) at the Japanese box office. The movie is a compilation of the anime’s first two seasons, including newly added footage set after Season 2. It was also screened in the United States through HIDIVE, with subtitled showings on February 16 and dubbed screenings on February 18.

The anime is based on the manga by Norio Sakurai, published by Akita Shoten, which currently spans 13 volumes. Seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream on HIDIVE.

Kyotaro Ichikawa is a painfully awkward middle school boy deep in the throes of eighth-grader syndrome, spending his days obsessed reading morbid books like The Encyclopedia of Murder and anatomical diagrams.
His quiet, isolated world is suddenly turned upside down when Anna Yamada, the classroom star, unexpectedly steps into his life.
Whether she’s casually eating rice balls in the library, humming to herself, or suddenly closing the distance between them, Yamada’s unpredictable behavior leaves Ichikawa constantly off balance. And before he knows it, she is occupying his every day thoughts.
As they spend more time together, Yamada too begins to find herself drawn to Ichikawa in ways she never expected. It’s the first time either of them has truly understood what it means to “like” someone.
Through misunderstandings and clumsy, heartfelt emotions, the distance between them slowly, but surely, begins to close.
