The novel Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery is being adapted into a TV anime titled Anne Shirley. The series is set to premiere on NHK in April 2025.
The Answer Studio, known for its high production quality and involvement in acclaimed films like Your Name. and Suzume, is contributing to the anime production of the TV series Anne Shirley.

The classic novel Anne of Green Gables, first published in 1908, follows the journey of Anne Shirley, an orphan who is taken in by Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert on Prince Edward Island, a picturesque and serene corner of Canada. Anne’s vivid imagination and kindhearted nature, which have helped her navigate a challenging childhood until the age of 11, begin to transform the lives and hearts of those she encounters.
