Aniplex Inc. and Crunchyroll have announced the joint establishment of HAYATE Inc., a new anime production company dedicated to planning, developing, and producing anime content for Crunchyroll’s global streaming platform.
The newly formed joint venture, Hayate, will be led by Chairman and CEO Masanori Miyake and President and COO Leo Watanabe, both from Aniplex. The company’s staff will include employees from both Aniplex and Crunchyroll.
HAYATE, headquartered in Tokyo, aims to deliver premium content for anime fans worldwide. According to the official press release, the company will leverage Aniplex’s extensive production expertise—developed through years of collaboration with various creators and studios—alongside Crunchyroll’s strong presence in development, marketing, and distribution, backed by its deep connection to the anime community and passionate fanbase.
