Alphapolis, a company known for publishing novels and manga, has announced the full acquisition of anime production studio WHITE FOX, making it a wholly owned subsidiary.
Alphapolis is recognized for publishing web-based content, particularly web novels and web manga, many of which have been adapted into anime series such as GATE, TSUKIMICHI: Moonlit Fantasy, and New Saga. Meanwhile, animation studio WHITE FOX is known for producing acclaimed titles like Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- and STEINS;GATE.
Alphapolis stated that as the anime industry continues to grow, there is a rising demand for high-quality video production. However, there’s currently a shortage of studios with both strong creative capabilities and advanced technical expertise. By acquiring shares in WHITE FOX and making it a consolidated subsidiary, Alphapolis aims to establish an in-house animation production system. This move will allow the company to bring its extensive IP catalog to life using WHITE FOX’s high-level production technology.
The company aims to accelerate anime adaptations of its original IP, attract new fans including from international markets through high-quality animation, and further grow its anime business.
