The original Ace of Diamond manga series was serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2006 to 2015 and compiled in 47 tankobon volumes. It was adapted into a TV anime by Madhouse and Production I.G for two seasons: the 75-episode first season (October 2013 – March 2015) and the 51-episode second season (April 2015 – March 2016). “act II” is a new season following the first and second seasons, and was broadcast from 2019 to 2020.
The first TV anime is available on Crunchyroll and describes the story as follows:
Eijun Sawamura finally makes his first appearance at the spring invitational! He wants to restore Seido’s reputation as a first-rate team and make them national champions! Seido High School Baseball Club’s new run is about to begin!
