100 METERS Anime Film Welcomes Koki Uchiyama and Kenjiro Tsuda to the Cast

From Kenji Iwaisawa and Rock’n Roll Mountain.

100 METERS an upcoming theatrical anime feature by Uoto, will star Koki Uchiyama and Kenjiro Tsuda. The film is set for a September 19 release in Japanese theaters. GKIDS has joined the project as a producing partner and will bring the film to North American theaters this October.

Annecy Festival describes the story as follows:

Togashi is born to run. As a kid, he is naturally gifted and wins every 100-meter race without effort. But in sixth grade, he meets Komiya, a transfer student who is full of determination but lacks technique. In teaching him, Togashi gives Komiya a new purpose: to win no matter what. Years pass by, Togashi and Komiya meet again as rivals on the track and reveal their true selves.
