Gundam is heading to San Diego Comic-Con 2026 with a major announcement. Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc. has confirmed that a brand-new Gundam anime series will be unveiled during the “GUNDAM Showcase 2026 – Unveil the Next Gundam” panel.
The special panel will take place on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM PT at Room 6BCF during San Diego Comic-Con. Special guests from Japan will introduce the upcoming anime project and share the future of the Gundam franchise.
Alongside the announcement, Gundam will host a dedicated booth on the SDCC show floor featuring displays for the new anime series and GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT, the upcoming video game recently announced in June. Fans will also have the chance to take photos with Gundam statues, explore exclusive merchandise, and participate in a free GUNPLA building workshop.
For fans unable to attend the convention, the new Gundam anime announcement will also be shared worldwide through GUNDAM CHANNEL INTL on July 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM PT / 2:00 PM ET.
San Diego Comic-Con 2026 will take place from July 23 to July 26, 2026, at the San Diego Convention Center in California. The event will mark another major milestone for the Gundam franchise as it prepares to reveal its next anime chapter.
