The key visual for the upcoming TV anime My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero’s has been unveiled, with the series officially set to premiere this October.

The series first appeared on the user-generated novel publishing website Shousetsuka ni Narou in January 2017. In November 2017, Japanese publisher Overlap began releasing a print edition under its Overlap Bunko imprint, featuring illustrations by Tozai. To date, four volumes have been published in Japan. Additionally, a manga adaptation by Hiroyuki Gogamo is serialized on the web manga site Comic Gardo, with the latest six tankōbon volumes.
