My Hero Academia “You Say Run” Gets an English Vocal Version for September 22

The English vocal version of “You Say Run”, one of the most iconic soundtracks from the My Hero Academia anime, will be released on September 22 as part of the anime’s 10th anniversary project.

Titled “You Say Run -10th Anniversary ver.-“,this special version adds English vocals to the famous track. The vocals are performed by Kevin and Nico from the German electronicore band Electric Callboy.

Originally composed by Yuki Hayashi, “You Say Run” has become one of the most recognizable songs from My Hero Academia, often used during the anime’s most exciting moments.

A new digital jacket illustration by BONES Film has also been created for the release. It features Izuku Midoriya preparing to unleash his full power with a “SMASH!”, paying homage to the soundtrack jacket from the anime’s first season.

Hayashi had been thinking for a long time about what “You Say Run” would sound like with lyrics. After discussing the idea with the My Hero Academia music team, Electric Callboy was chosen to perform the new version.

The band welcomed the opportunity, saying that bringing their vocals and energy to the legendary My Hero Academia song, which is loved around the world, would be a wonderful experience.

“My Hero Academia” No.170+1 “More” is now streaming on Crunchyroll. “No.170+1 More” brings to life a special chapter written and illustrated by Horikoshi, originally included in volume 42 of the manga. The story takes place after the series’ conclusion, showing Class 1-A as professional heroes, while Deku has become a teacher at U.A. High School.

Kohei Horikoshi‘s original manga series debuted in Shueisha‘s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on July 7, 2014, and concluded on August 4, 2025. All the released seasons are currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll.

INTRODUCTION:
My Hero Academia is the TV anime adaptation of the comic series by Kohei Horikoshi that ran for ten years in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) and broke 100 million copies in circulation worldwide!
