Paledusk’s “HUGs” Unleashed: Gachiakuta Opener Goes Full Force

With deluxe CD edition and tour dates.

Paledusk has officially dropped the full version of “HUGs”, the genre-defying opening theme for Gachiakuta — and it’s louder, rawer, and more emotional than ever.

Premiered as a short TV-size version during Gachiakuta’s July 6 anime debut, the full 5-minute track delivers a sonic storm of brutal riffs, glossy melodies, and explosive shifts — all tightly packed into one emotional punch. Written at the request of Gachiakuta creator Kei Urana and graffiti designer Hideyoshi Andou, “HUGs” captures the intensity, chaos, and pain at the core of the series.

More than just a release, “HUGs” also marks Paledusk’s major label debut, with a CD edition set to drop on September 17 in two formats: a standard CD, and a deluxe first press with LP-sized packaging and exclusive trading cards, including original art of the band drawn by Kei Urana himself.

The band is also kicking off the “PALEGALAXY vol.2” tour this September across Japan, joined by Polaris and Knosis.

More about Paledusk:
The band signed a contract with Australian label Grayscale Records in 2020, EU/UK label Avocado Bookings in 2021, and US label SharpTone Records in 2023, and has performed at numerous overseas festivals and live shows. The four-piece band from Fukuoka, Paledusk consists of Vo.KAITO, Gt.DAIDAI, Gt.TSUBASA, and Dr.BOB.

The band’s unique stance and presence have gained tremendous support not only from metal and rock listeners, but also from hardcore, hip-hop, and other genre-defying cultures, and the band’s sound is evolving into a new phase. DAIDAI’s songwriting creativity has garnered attention both domestically and internationally, and his participation as a producer on Bring Me the Horizon’s new album “Post Human: NeX Gen” debuted at #1 on the iTunes Rock Albums Chart and reached #3 on the iTunes Overall Albums Chart.

He also wrote/arranged the music for Lil Uzi Vert’s “The End ft. BABYMETAL” and contributed to ONE OK ROCK’s new album “DETOX” with the songs “Puppets Can’t Control You” and “C.C.”. ‘t Control You,” “C.U.R.I.O.S.I.T.Y. feat. Paledusk and CHICO CARITO,” “+Matter “+Matter”, and co-wrote and arranged three songs with ONE OK ROCK. He has collaborated with numerous world-class artists and has garnered recognition both in name and reality.

They are now the No. 1 young band in terms of both ability and talent, which everyone has been waiting for.
