More about muque:
Formed in May 2022, muque is a four-piece band from Fukuoka, Japan, consisting of Asakura (vocals/guitar), Lenon (bass), takachi (drums/programming), and Kenichi (guitar). Blending modern global influences from the US, UK, and Asia with a distinctly Japanese lyrical and melodic sensibility, muque create a sound that is both innovative and deeply emotional. Asakura’s expressive vocals further enhance their unique sonic identity.

The band’s name combines the French word “musique” and the Japanese word “muku” (meaning “purity”), symbolizing their commitment to making authentic, uninhibited music.
