At Anime Expo 2026, it was officially announced that the manga MURCIÉLAGO will receive a TV anime adaptation scheduled for 2027. To celebrate the announcement, a teaser PV, key visual, and a special illustration from the creator were revealed.
The anime will stream exclusively on HIDIVE in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand as part of its 2027 lineup.

The series, created by Kana Yoshimura and published in Square Enix’s Young Gangan, began serialization in 2013. It has sold over 2.3 million copies worldwide and currently includes 28 volumes in Japan (26 internationally).

MURCIÉLAGO follows the story of Kuroko Koumori, former death-row inmate turned state-appointed officially sanctioned executioner, and her partner Hinako Tozakura, an innocent-looking girl with extraordinary driving skills. Together, they are a deranged yet unbeatable duo, confronting the darkness lurking within society.
